Since
his formal introduction into the BDSM lifestyle beginning in 1994, Simon has
been schooled in, and continues to study, various expressions and theories of
BDSM, human sexuality, and the mechanics of how men and women interact on various
levels.
After living a semi-private lifestyle for over a decade, Simon made the decision to become more public in hopes he that could help others understand that the BDSM way of life is not about abuse, but rather is simply another expression of love that is no different from that which is traditionally practiced by heterosexual "man and wife" or homosexual "life partners" today. Simon ultimately aims to be a part of making the BDSM lifestyle more acceptable in the minds of mainstream America on both the private and, more importantly, the governmental fronts by helping to debunk the current stereotypes which continue to plague and force BDSM so many lifestylers to remain in “the closet”.
Simon's current project is authoring a book explaining how a Master and slave relationship can be at its healthiest and most rewarding when an M/s relationship is primarily based in reality - as opposed to fantasy. Simon is a proud member of Cirque de Sade, an established organization of respectable Masters and Mistresses who have come together to increase awareness of the BDSm lifestyle and to help others express the lifestyle to its fullest potential while doing so safely. Simon is an instructor for BDSMMentors.com, a non-profit organization that provides education for the BDSM communities by providing a series of weekend and day-long intensive workshops in Southern California that enhance skills, safety, and satisfaction for those who attend. It is with great pleasure that we welcome Simon Blaise to Thunder in the Mountains 2008.
